Our On-Site Physician/Medical Director

Lili A. Leavell-Hayes, M.D. originates from Anderson, Indiana yet presently resides and is a practicing and certified Anesthesiologist and Medical Director of Aesculapius Medical Spa & Wellness Institute in Carmel, Indiana.  Her specializations include Surgical Anesthesia, Pain Management, Health & Wellness and Medical Aesthetics.  She has been a staff Anesthesiologist at Clarian Health Partners, Inc. for 17 years and was a founding member of Anesthesia Consultants of Indianapolis.  She is also the current president of Hoosier State Medical Association (state chapter of the National Medical Association).
 
She graduated with a B.A. degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Indiana University, and then went on to pursue her medical degree graduating with honors from Indiana University School of Medicine.

She completed her rotating internship at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and then graduated from Anesthesia residency at University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

She is the researcher and inventor of the patented Leavell-Hayes Oral/Nasal gastric tube.  This apparatus is utilized for drainage and diagnostic testing of gastric secretions in surgical patients under anesthesia.  She is active in a variety of professional, religious and civic organizations.
